Our tour begins at 1pm local time at the Venice airport (Marco Polo / VCE). After a brief meet and greet, you’ll be transported to the islands of Venice on a luxurious and private speedboat with plush leather seats and mahogany finishings.
The first day is focused on helping you slowly immerse yourself into the luxuries of Italian charm with an open air educational session before heading outside of the city to Padua to settle in for the night.
Day 2: CAVALESE
After some morning coffee and snacks, you will be whisked through the Italian countryside to the town of Cavalese to meet Professor Marco Valussi. You’ll enjoy a tour of an artisan distillery, complete with a private class on essential oil distillation, theory, and practice.
Day 3: PADUA
Next we transition to an emphasis on the deep history of botanical medicine in Italy, focusing on herbalism. Your day begins with a tour of the botanical gardens in Padua, which were originally established in 1545. You will then enjoy additional historic tours and workshops in this charming town before a relaxing dinner.
Days 4-6 FLORENCE
Day 4 begins with a train ride through the Tuscan countryside into Florence, arriving just in time for a traditional Italian lunch. After settling into your new space, you’ll enjoy a walking tour of key historic sites and a workshop on the benefits of traditional nutritional practices.
Olives and grapes, perhaps the most recognized products of Italy, are the emphasis for Day 5. You will enjoy a trip to a local vineyard, a wine tasting, and workshops on the interactions between microbes and human health.
The day concludes with a large farewell dinner and some free time to explore the city after hours. You won’t want to miss the breathtaking views of the Duomo lit up at night.
