Ready to take your herbal and essential oil education to the next level? Our European Educational Tour offers the experience of a lifetime! In this packed 6 day/5 night experience, you'll travel across England to visit key historic sites with hands on experiences and legendary instructors.

Everyone! The trip includes rich, hands-on educational experiences on the topics of health history, herbalism, aromatherapy, research methods, hydrotherapy, and culinary medicine. There are no pre-requisites for attending and the trip is open to students, professionals, and health enthusiasts alike.

The Franklin School of Integrative Health Sciences is proud to be fully authorized to grant college certificates and degrees by the Tennessee Higher Education Commission. This commission oversees college education and ensures that diplomas and certificates issued by the FSIHS are recognized as legitimate college credentials nationwide.

During this 6-day trip, you will explore one of the oldest botanical medicinal gardens in the world, tour a stunning vineyard, and enjoy educational experiences rooted in the unsurpassed culinary experiences of the region. Each step of the way, you’ll enjoy one-on-one time with FSIHS founder Dr Jessie Hawkins, and hands-on assistance from FSIHS instructors throughout the trip. 


Your week begins Sunday at 1pm London time at Russell Square, located in Bloomsbury, near the University of London and the British Museum.

After a brief orientation and meet-and-greet, you will enjoy a walking tour through the sites of some of the most noteworthy events in health history. During this exciting excursion, you will learn the behind-the-scenes stories that led to some of the greatest advancements in health. Whether this is your first time in London or you call the city home, you will see this area as never before.

After enjoying some of the greatest medical history sites London has to offer, you will be whisked away by train to one of the most prestigious academic towns in the world: Oxford, England.


You will arrive in Oxford Sunday evening, just in time to enjoy the sun setting over the town's historic spires. After settling into your luxurious accommodations, you will enjoy some free time for exploring and shopping before a relaxing group dinner.

On Monday, you will spend the day learning about the history and scientific advancements of botanical medicine nestled in a beautiful classroom on the prestigious Oxford University campus. In addition to the seminars and workshops, your day will be spent enjoying the stunning views and the rich academic tradition.

From Oxford, we head to a small town in the stunning southern countryside of Hampshire. This former capital of England is home to rich tradition and boasts its own version of the famed Round Table. The town also boasts a thousand year old cathedral and a stunning rural river. 

On Wednesday you will enjoy a day-long adventure of herbal foraging along the fields and hedgerows, followed by a medicine making workshop and tasting. You'll unwind with a beautiful ride through the countryside to another ancient town: Bath. 


Your final stop on the trip is to the ancient Roman city of Bath, which has a rich tradition of health and luxury. Hydrotherapy is emphasized on Thursday, with a private tour of the Roman baths, workshops on water as a healing aid, and a session at the luxurious Thermae Bath Spa. The evening concludes with somef free time to explore on your own.

On Friday, the topic shifts to food as medicine, with the first half of the day focusing on the complicated subject of bread, with a visit to the historic Sally Lunn bakery. After lunch, the topic shifts to fermented dairy, with a visit to a traditional dairy and a tasting tour of some fresh British cheeses. Friday evening includes a train ride back to London, where we say goodbye at the Paddington Station.

Meals & Accommodations

The trip includes all meals and accommodations during the 6 day / 5 night experience. Meals include a light breakfast, a moderate sized traditional English lunch, and a full dinner which includes a glass of wine. Vegetarian and gluten-free dietary requirements can be accommodated.

Registration does not include your airfare to and from London or personal expenses. All travel inside of England is also included in the cost, so you can sit back, relax, and enjoy the views knowing that everything is covered!
